LAS CALAVERAS At REPUBLIC SQUARE
Mexic-Arte Museum partnered with the Mexico City-based Colectivo Última Hora to create four large-scale fiberglass skulls that have been painted by four Austin-based artists: Ruben Esquivel, NIZ, Carmen Rangel, and Ryan Runcie. These artists have created imagery relating to Republic Square’s history, a central point for the city’s diverse communities.
LOGO DESIGN:
I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Mexic-Arte museum on designing a logo for their captivating fall art installation. This installation featured a series of stunning crafted skulls, which were showcased at the Republic Square Park in Austin,Texas. The artwork itself was a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture and tradition, blending both modern and historical influences. It was truly an honor to contribute to such a meaningful project, helping to visually represent the essence of the installation and its rich cultural narrative.
